Bowie Women's Lacrosse Roster

 

Kacie, Senior, Attack, now in her fourth season at Bowie, she lettered in her Freshman year. She played at Small MS. Kacie was selected as the Most Valuable Offensive Player for the 2008 season. She was selected to the All-District Team in 2007 and 2008. She was selected to the Texas Women's Division National Team in 2007 and 2008. Kacie won the Central District Academic Award. She made the 2008 State All-Stars and the 2008 All State Team. She is a member of the Texas Play Hard club team and played in the 2008 Women's National Amateur Championships. Kacie in the top 10% of her class. She loves to play OSHKA and hopes to study Law at a California school.
Kaitlynn, Captain, Senior, Attack, is in her sixth year playing lacrosse. She was selected as the Most Valuable Player for the 2008 season. She started her career at Small MS and earned her Varsity letter in her Freshman year. She was selected to the All-District Team in 2007 and 2008. She was selected to the Texas Women's Division National Team in 2007 and 2008. Kaitlynn was selected for the 2008 US Lacrosse High School Academic All American Team and won the Central District Academic Award. She made the 2008 State All-Stars and the 2008 All State Team. She is the Captain of the Texas Play Hard club team and participated in the 2008 Women's National Amateur Championships. Kaitlynn is also on the Varsity Volleyball team, in NHS, Spanish Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Key Club. She hopes to attend Columbia or Macalester College.
Kylee, Senior, Attack, is in her fourth year of lacrosse. While on the JV Squad she was recognized at the Most Improved and Rookie of the Year and won the Top Shooter Award. For the 2008 season she earned the Heart and Hustle Award. Kylee was selected for the 2008 Central Texas All-District Team. She is also a member of the Texas Play Hard club team and played in the 2008 Women's National Amateur Championships. Other interests include Soccer, Running, Art, and the Spanish Honor Society. She hopes to continue to play after high school and to study Art or Art History at the University of Chicago, Colorado, A & M, or UT.
Lizzie, Senior, Attack, is in her fifth year of lacrosse. She played at Small MS and one year on the Bowie JV Squad. She earned her Varsity letter during the 2006 season and was named the Best Offensive Player. Lizzie won the Central District Academic Award during the 2008 season. She plays an awesome Clarinet and is the Drum Major for the award winning Bowie HS Band. She hopes to continue to playing lacrosse at UT and study Psychology.
Lizzie, Captain, Senior, Defense, has been playing lacrosse for five years and earned her Varsity letter in her Freshman year. She played for Small MS and the ATX LaxBats.  She was selected to the All-District Team in 2007 and 2008. She was selected to the Texas Women's Division National Team in 2007 and 2008. Lizzie was selected for the 2008 US Lacrosse High School Academic All American Team and won the Central District Academic Award. She is a member of the Texas Play Hard club team and participated in the 2008 Women's National Amateur Championships. Lizzie hopes to continue to play in college and enjoys coaching the Small MS team.
Mendy, Senior, Goalie, played lacrosse in middle school, spent one year on the JV squad, and is in her third year on Varsity. In 2007, Mendy was selected to the Central District for the All-State team. In 2008 she won the Central District Academic Award. Mendy also is a member of the Bowie HS Orchestra. She hopes to play lacrosse at UT, where she plans to study something in the medical field, possibly Physical Therapy.
Paige, Captain, Senior, Defense, in her 4th year of the sport of lacrosse. She played a year on the JV team and then earned her Varsity letter in 2007. She is also a member of the Texas Play Hard club team and played in the 2008 Women's National Amateur Championships. Paige swims in the off-season in order to stay in shape. She hopes to continue playing lacrosse in college, where she plans to study psychology.
Gracie, Junior, Attack, in her fourth year of lacrosse and was selected as the 2008 JV Offensive Player of the Year and won the Central District Academic Award. She played at Clint Small MS and on last year's Bowie JV team. She is also a member of the award winning James Bowie High School Band. In her spare time she also enjoys playing soccer. Still not completely sure of her academic major plans for college, Gracie hopes to attend university in North Carolina.
Jennifer, Junior, Attack, earned her Varsity letter in her Freshman year at Bowie HS. She was selected to the 2008 Texas Women's Division National Team and won the Central District Academic Award. She is a member of the Texas Play Hard club team and played in the 2008 Women's National Amateur Championships. Jennifer is in the top 10% of her class. Her other passion aside from lacrosse is horseback riding whenever she can.  She hopes to play collegiate lacrosse at a university somewhere outside of Texas.
Kelsey, Junior, Defense, in her fourth year of playing Lacrosse and won the Central District Academic Award. She played at Small Middle School and is a member of the Texas Play Hard club team and played in the 2008 Women's National Amateur Championships.  She earned her Varsity letter in her Freshman year. She is a member of the Spanish Club and is in the top 10% of her class. Kelsey does not have definite University plans yet, but does plan on playing Lacrosse in college.
Leanne, Sophomore, Defense, was the 2008 JV Defensive Player of the Year and won the Central District Academic Award. She also has three years experience playing Field Hockey at both the JV and Varsity level. While she's not yet sure of where she wants to go for college, she's leaning toward studying Drama or Theater and possibly even major in English.
Rachel, Sophomore, Goalie, earned her Varsity letter in her Freshman year and was selected as the 2008 Rookie of the Year. She played in MS at St. Gabriel's where she won the Heart & Hustle Award in 2006 and MVP in the 2007 season. She plays Goalie for the Texas Play Hard club team and participated in the 2008 Women's National Amateur Championships. She plans on playing lacrosse in college and hopes to pursue a career in the medical field.
Allie, Freshman, Attack, has played for 4 years and was the 2008 MVP of the Clint Small Middle School. She is a member of the Texas Play Hard Outlaws. She enjoys Volleyball and hopes to play lacrosse in college.
Ashlyn, Freshman, Defense, has played for 2 years and was the 2007 Most Improved Player on the Teague Middle School team in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She is looking forward to playing lacrosse in college.
Eliza, Freshman, Goalie, played last year for Bailey Middle School. She also enjoys Volleyball, Swimming, and Hiking and wants to play lacrosse in college.
Laura, Freshman, Defense, has 3 years experience and was the Defensive Player of the Year at Clint Small MS. She also enjoys Soccer and Volleyball. Laura is hoping to study Medicine and play lacrosse at Texas A & M.
Madi, Freshman, Middie, is new to lacrosse, but she is a very hard worker, is learning fast, and will clearly be an asset to our team. She is a Varsity Swimmer and ref's Soccer in her spare time. She hopes to play lacrosse and pursue an education at an Ivy League school.
Tara, Freshman, Middie, has been playing lacrosse for three years -- at Clint Small MS, where she was the MVP two years in a row and then won the Heart & Hustle Award in 2008. Tara also participates in Track and volunteers at the Town Lake Animal Shelter. She hopes to play lacrosse at the collegiate level.
Zoë, Freshman, Attack, was the Captain of her middle school team at Bailey MS. She has been playing for two years and hopes to continue through high school and into college. She is also an avid softball and volleyball player. Zoë hopes to study nursing in college.
