April 18th - National Team Try-Outs at Texas A & M
Tue, 04/06/2010 - 4:38pm — adminJust a reminder that for the US Lacrosse Women's Division National Tournament (WDNT), there will only be ONE tryout for our entire region (state) on Sunday, April 18th at Texas A&M. Note that tryouts will be held rain or shine, as there is an indoor site available. Registration for this tournament can ONLY be done online. Yes, players MUST register online for this prestigious tournament. THERE WILL BE NO WALKUPS ALLOWED. Unlike years past, Texas is only able to send one team to this tournament made up of girls from across the state, so be sure to act now if you are interested in trying out.
Bowie LAX plans for Feb 6 and 7
Sat, 02/06/2010 - 10:49am — adminThe scrimmage plans are not fully in place yet. I have invited AHS to Covington MS for a 3PM game. They are still scrambling to see if they can get a full team there. So here are our plans for today and tomorrow:
Sat – Feb 6 – Covington MS – 3 PM to 5 PM (Be prepared for scrimmage but most likely this will be Bowie practice only)

Our team will travel to College Station to play in this tournament.
All players muyst have waivers signed and turned by January 31, 2010, in order to be placed on the roster.
Jan 25 practice will be at Covington MS
Sun, 01/24/2010 - 9:51pm — adminThe days are getting a bit longer and the sun sets shortly after 6PM. The field at Covington has some advantages over Stassney: a) closer to Bowie, b) field lines painted, c) zero cost and d) goal standards at the field. On Monday, we will have practice at Covington. The projected start time will be 4:45 PM. Players are encouraged to hastily meet their rides and get to the fields after school is let out as quickly as safely possibly. Practice will conclude at 6:15PM.
